A Secured Mantle-

This year has been filled with loss, growth and triumph and through it all on thing remains. God's love. It never fails, it never gives up and it never runs out on us. -This weekend our Pastor talked about having a loose mantle. It is that place in life when you are walking out your journey but you know that there is so much more that God has destined and ordained you to be. You see each of us has been given a mantle or "calling" in our lives. It sits securely on our shoulders as a symbol of  our assignment in this world or our perfect comission. Mantle's can carry alot of weight, they are strong and powerful.  But just like heavy things that can wiegh down a physical mantle; the interesting events or disappointments like the loss of a child or loved one, or the heart ache of a broken relationship, maybe sickness, unforgiveness or financial disappointment can sometimes loosen the mantle we are called to carry it all becomes just a tad to heavy. So one side of your mantle could be tighly fasten but the other side being so affected by the trials and disappoinments in our life hangs loosely flopping around unsecured, unprotected and uncomissioned. It is important to get rid of the dead unhealthy wieght in our lives. So my challenge to you today is to recognize the areas of your life that have caused you so much pain causing you to be complacent or disengaged with visions and dreams of the person that you long to be deep down in your gut & LET THEM GO! God has created you for Such a Time As This, there is a whole world out there waiting for you to allow Jesus to impact them through your life as you fulfill your God Given Destiny! - Selah

To Pause & Consider...

Through a series of events in the past few weeks, I have had ample opportunity to pause and consider life's sweetest moments and the value of every breath we are given here on earth. Who we are as humans and why we do the things we do plays over and over in my mind...As I look around at people, I stop to consider where they come from and what series of events in thier history shaped them into who they have become today. I find more often then not, we live in a world of vulnerable people who have been shaped and formed by life's circumstances, living in survival mode never quite pressing on to "thrival" mode. It seems like the things we disliked so much about the generations before us we have somehow walked right into...someone once said, "the things you hate, if you don't face; you become"- this often being a result of harbored unforgiveness, whitch leads to pride, and pride will land you right into the victim pit. Being a victim will take you from being a "Son" of the most high God to a "Slave" to sin. So my challenge to you today is to stop and consider where you came from and evaluate how that could affect where you're going if you don't allow yourself to surrender completely to God in order to experience freedom and restoration. We aren't were we want to be, but Thank God where not where we used to be...-Selah
